1 Load

Open the case by pulling the lids apart from the sides. Gently insert a strip of up to 5 interconnected Soft-Picks into one side of the pick tray, feeding the pick tips first into the corresponding holes at the bottom end of the tray. The pick handles should rest on top of the separation walls protruding from the tray.

Tip: It is easiest to load the case by laying it in a fully opened position on a table or counter top with both lids flat on the work surface and the tray resting horizontal on top of either case lid. To load the opposite side, simpl pivot the pick tray180 degrees, but make sure the picks loaded on the first side of the tray remain fully seated and don't shift out position.

2 Separate

Close the loaded case and compress the lids firmly together between your thumbs and fingers. The unit will not be fully closed and the picks fully separated until you hear a 'crunch' sound from the pick connections being broken.

Tip: The maximum number of picks that can be separated at once (10) also requires the greatest compression force. So, if you have difficulty separating your picks, try loading and separating only one side of the pick tray at a time. To maximize compression, place the loaded case on a table or counter in the closed position and press downward with both hands open and on top of each other, palms down. The weight of your arms and upper body will substantially increase compression force.

3 Dispense

Just open the case and pluck out any pick you want with your fingertip. Best technique: hold the open case cupped in one hand facing you (like a flip phone) with pick handles facing up. Hold the pick tray against the distant lid with your thumb and index finger on each edge and pluck out a pick with your other hand. Make sure to pull each pick by its handle from behind and toward you, and in an upward direction to free the pick tip out of the tray hole.

Note: Occasionally, you may notice that a separated pick is not held securely in its holding place on the tray. This occurs from slight variations in where the connecting material between the picks ends up after the separation process. So, when you encounter a loose pick, just position it back into its holding cavity and the case should close without interference.
